When we go vegetable shopping, we don’t always buy only one single type of vegetable but a variety of them. Why? This is because one vegetable cannot provide us with all the nutritional benefits required to sustain a long healthy life. Similarly, in the investing world, one single asset class may not provide you with all the features that can help you achieve your financial goals.
Schemes with investments in different asset classes can be a single stop shop to provide you exposure to a host of different asset classes. These types of funds allow investment in different asset classes as may be permissible such as equity, debt and gold amongst others.
These funds generally offer investors the benefit of diversification along with fund manager’s expertise to help manage risks, if any and can help in long term wealth creation.

Conclusion: It is generally said that, time in the market is more important than timing the markets. However, often as investors we can feel nervous during market and economic volatility. In such cases, investment in a single type of asset class may not be suitable. However, if we can diversify our assets it can help against the potential risks pertaining to an asset class while helping to create that long term wealth.
